About 19 or 20 years ago, Todd took down a tree for us at our house on South Main. Logs were used as bases for 2 benches in our backyard. The plank 'seats' came from the roof of our barn when the roof was replaced. Some of the logs were used for firewood in our stove and the rest were placed upright in our back woods. This fall, I discovered that quite a few of these logs had been turned into artful sculptures by slugs dwelling within. These sculptures were exhibited at this year's FFA Fair along with 'live slugs' and flower arrangements made by Mrs. DeMarinis' 3rd Grade Class at Seymour Smith. At the time our tree was cut, Kim had just had her son and sat in Todd' truck with their infant. That tree is just about gone. The Richard's son has grown tall, into a fine young man, perhaps to carry on the family tradition o f felling trees according to 'natures' way' of growth and gravity. - Joan Franzone
