After a four-year run, the Wild Hive Farm, Store & Café Bakery closed. A few miles away, in Clinton Corners, not Pine Plains, but it could have been and I wish it had been. I made this film on its last night to preserve how its customers celebrated its contribution to the community. I could ramble on about how much this place meant to me, but I think the film shows it. Every meal was a lesson and treat in local agriculture and people.
Looks like fun was had by all!
I’m sad to see such a vital local place disappear. I know in small rural towns, it’s not easy to create such a space. I hope someone else decides to carry the place to the next stage.
Great documentation Stan. It’ll only become more valuable as time moves on.
